A piece of Sicily in the middle of Notting Hill

One of my favourite places to grab a slice of pizza for take away definitely is Arancina. I can’t resist the idea of going there and having different tagglios (slices), it reminds me the week I spent in Rome some years back. When I was doing sightseeing around the city and went trying pizza tagglios all day at different places.

The place is a mix of the cuisines from Sicily and Rome. You can find cornetti, pizza, and of course arancinas. For the ones that don’t know, an arancino is an orange rice ball battered and deep fried filled with beef, ham or cheese. Highly recommended.

Definitely a place worth going if you are around the area, in Arancina you will enjoy authentic Italian food.

Pizza reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Betrayal”, when Jerry is remembering when he moved to his flat and met Kramer for the first time.

Kramer: Oh, hey, how you doing?
Jerry: Oh, hi. I-I'm Jerry Seinfeld. I'm movin' in. I saw your name on the buzzer. You must be Kessler.
Kramer: Uh, no. Actually, it's Kramer.
Jerry: Oh.
Kramer: Uh, you need any help, or...?
Jerry: No, thanks. But I ordered a pizza. You want some of it?
Kramer: Uh, no, no, no. I couldn't impose.
Jerry: Why not? We're neighbors. What's mine is yours.
Kramer: Really?
