Papaya Dog

An authentic New York classic is Gray’s Papaya. The place is open 24 hours 365 days a year, serving cheap, succulent hot dogs, and of course, Papaya drinks. For me was a must, the place appears in two of my favorite movies, You’ve Got Mail, and The Warriors, even Anthony Bourdain in his programme No Reservations defined the place as a cost efficient snack, and claim to be a regular costumer as it is his favourite local eatery.

I went to the place got my dog and enjoyed the unique flavour. If you’re in The City that Never Sleeps don’t hesitate to pass by and have one, it will cost you only a dollar and fifty cents.

The Gray’s main competitor the King reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Movie”.

Kramer: Listen, I'm gonna get a hot dog at Payapa King.

George and Elaine: No, wait!

George: You're not going to get back here in time!

Kramer: I'm starvin', I haven't had any dinner!

Elaine: You can get a hot dog in the theater.

Kramer: I don't wanna get a movie hot dog! I want a Papaya King hot dog!
