Chicago Famed Burger: Kuma’s Corner

After going to DB Primehouse and twitting about the burger Krista recommended to try Kuma’s Corner and as a local Chicago blogger I couldn’t resist her advice so before leaving to the airport I had one stop to make.

Kuma's Corner
Kuma
The place is some sort of pub mixed with hard rock music trembling the walls, and waiters taken from Miami Ink show. Opened in 2005, even Lady Gaga has been seen in the place devouring the famed burgers. Couple house rules, such as no reservation, no sport tv games, no music request, no minors after 10pm, and be patient as they have a small kitchen and the place is packed.

The bar
Bourbon taps
Good selection of beers, even a bourbon tap, and the burgers, 10oz patty served with fries on a pretzel roll. I went for the famous Kuma Burger, bacon, cheddar, and a fried egg. The burger was great, perfectly cooked medium rare, the juices and the egg yolk dripping all over was priceless, the bacon was crispy and the cheddar completely melted.

Kuma Burger
Dripping nice
Great burgers and a nice place to spend a couple hours having a beer, if you’re not into hard rock be prepared to take some ear plugs.

Hard rock reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Lip Reader”

Jerry: Oh just pull over right there by the stop sign
Driver: Pardon me sir?
Jerry: I said pull over by the stop sign
Driver: I'm so sorry, you'll have to forgive me. I can't hear a damn thing. I went to that rock concert last night at the garden. My seats were right up against the speaker. It's a heavy metal group Metalli something...
Kramer: Ca
Driver: Huh?
George: What?
Jerry: Ca
George: Ah
Driver: My ears are still ringing. Some woman's idea of a joke
