Probably the place I frequent most in London is the Tate Modern. Even to spend time reading a book or just wandering around. On the Level 6 they have their restaurant, long bar, panoramic breathtaking views from the London skyline, floor to ceiling windows.

So during a private viewing of Munch I took the time to go for a coffee and enjoy the view. Ordered a macchiato, and my friend Ana a latte, nice coffee, not too strong, the beans they are using it’s a special blend from a Coffee Roasterie in Brixton, which I assume should be Coleman Coffee Roasters.

To end the day, wandering around a half empty Tate, I got to an event Best of British Wine Tasting, they selected and offer the chance to try different cheeses, wine, beers, and cider from British producers.

The start of the tasting was Sipsmith another secret recipe, competing with Pimms, notes include lemon verbena, Earl Grey tea and cucumber, extremely nice and addictive.

Then Kernel Brewery, 4 choices, pale ale, IPA, stout, and a porter, really nice beers, I strongly recommended specially the dark ones.
More beers this time Innis & Gunn, a revelation, I loved the flavour of their special Rum Cask, strong rum notes as the beer is aged in Rum oak barrels, a must to try, I liked so much that I have my fridge full of those babies these days.

Finally some wine and sparkling, Limney 2011 vintage from Davenport Vineyards in East Sussex lovely Blanc de Blancs to end with a Pinot Noir rose Brut from Camel Valley in Cornwall.
Life couldn’t be better, wait there was a lovely selection of British cheeses to join the tasting.

Wine reminds me the Seinfeld episode “The Airport”
Flight Attendant: We have some delicious Chateaubriand, my personal favourite. Or, if you prefer something lighter, a poached Dover sole in a delicate white wine sauce with just a hint of saffron
Jerry: Oh, saffron! That sounds good
Flight Attendant: And today we're featuring wines from the Tuscany region
Jerry & Tia: Tuscany!
